Meeting with Azeri writer held in France Culture center
Baku, February 21 (AzerTAc). The French Cultural Center under Azerbaijan Embassy to France hosted a meeting with young Azeri writer Nargiz Bagirzadeh and held a presentation of her collection of stories in Russian “The day after tomorrow” (“Poslezavtra”).
Prominent cultural workers of Azerbaijan, representatives of public, modern prose-lovers and foreign guests attended the event.
At the end Nargiz Bagirzadeh thanked organizers of the event and participants for care and attention to her creative activity and presented books to readers with her own autograph.
Nargiz Bagirzadeh was born on December 19, 1979 in Baku. Between 1996-200 years studied at the Western University.
Since 2004 year her stories have been published in a journal “Literary Azerbaijan”, newspapers, literature collectors and in the literary miscellany of modern Azerbaijani and Russian prose.
In 2004 – 2008 year Nargiz Bagirzadeh was educated in The Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after S. Gerasimov (VGIK), faculty of screenwriter. Also in 2007 she entered Rustam Ibragimbekov’s International Cinema School, faculty of direction.
Nargiz Bagirzadeh also a producer and screen writer of some films. These movies are represented Azerbaijan in many film festivals.
A play “M.A.M.A” based on fiction by Nargiz Bagirzadeh with her Lithuanian counterpart was staged in Vilnusin 2009.
She is a member of the Azerbaijan Writers Union and the Azerbaijan Cultural Assosiation “Ray”.
