TeleYemen invites bids for operations contract
SANA'A, Feb. 19(Saba)- Yemen
International Telecommunication Company (TeleYemen) has invited bids by March 26 for
a management
and operations contract.
TeleYemen runs the international gateway for the local telecoms system in Yemen.
This function has always been undertaken by an international operator since the
company was set up in the early 1970s by the UK's Cable and Wireless.
The existing contract, with France Télécom, is set to expire this year.
