Thai, Cambodian business sectors to carry on bilateral links despite border row

BANGKOK, Feb 20 (TNA) - The state and private business sectors of Thailand and Cambodia will carry on bilateral links despite border dispute, Thai Deputy Commerce Minister Alongkorn Ponlaboot said on Sunday (Feb 20).
Alongkorn, who has just returned from attending the Thai-Cambodian business summit in Phnom Penh, disclosed that both state and private firms from Thailand and Cambodia are working to strengthen cooperation in trade and investments, and have agreed that Thailand and Cambodia should jointly hold a trade fair in both countries every two months to showcase products from both countries.
In terms of Thai investments in Cambodia, Alongkorn said Thailand's leading agro-industrial and food conglomerate Charoen Pokphand Foods (CP) announced it will further invest 300 million baht to expand its livestock food division and other farming activities.
Meanwhile, local Cambodians have continued flocking to the Thailand Trade Fair being held in Phnom Penh, which ends on Sunday. (TNA)
