Al-Zandani warns of chaos, violence repercussion in Yemen

SANA'A, Feb. 18 (Saba) -
Chairman of Iman University Sheikh Abdul-Majed al-Zandani has warned of pushing the
country
to chaos, violence and harming its security and stability, the state-run 26sept.net
reported on Friday.
In press conference, al-Zandani accentuated the importance of applying procedures
for ensuring a free parliamentary election expressing the people's will, saying
that the
majority then has the right to form a government according to the constitution to
overcome the recent crisis in the country.
"The people has the right to choose their representatives in parliament and to oust
those who breach the law", he said.
Al-Zandani clarified that the passion of Yemen's clerks on the recent events will
be announced on Monday.
Protests must be peaceful as the law stipulates and the government has to protect
protesters and allow to be turned to riots, vandalism and claiming lives, he said.
"Yemen is different from Egypt or Tunisia", al-Zandani said, demanding all
political powers in the country to avail from the events taken place in the two
countries.
The most important lesson we have to learn from the revolutions in Tunisia and
Egypt is to form a unity government and reform all corruption, stressing the
significance
of mobilizing all efforts to secure the country and maintain its attainments.
