Woman assaulted in backpacker hotel
(AAP) - A sleeping woman was sexually assaulted when a man broke into her room in a St Kilda backpacker hotel on Friday morning.
Police believe the attacker broke into the premises in Grey Street between 4am and 5am (EAST) and sexually assaulted the young woman while she slept.
The man is described as about 175cm tall and aged between 20 and 30.
He is said to have short dark cropped hair, a three-day growth and was wearing a brown t-shirt with a print on the front and light blue jeans.
