Sulaymaniya under curfew
Sulaymaniya (NINA) – A curfew imposed on Sulaymaniya as from 7:00 pm Thursday, Feb. 17, until 7:00 am Friday, in response to the killing and wounding of 35 persons during violence that erupted in the city.
During the day, a demonstration started from Bab al-Sarai in Sulaymaniya in support of the change witnessed by a number of Arab countries. The demonstration was accompanied by opening fire at the demonstrators by unknown persons.
