AJC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR GIVES PRESS CONFERENCE IN BAKU
Baku, 17 AUGUST (AzerTAj) - Executive Director of American Jewish Committee (AJC) David Harris gave a press conference on Saturday to sum up his visit to Baku.
Harris said his trip will give the impetus to further enhancement of the Azerbaijan-USA cooperation. He said the whole world, including Americans, should beaware of how great is the role Azerbaijan is playing in the region.
The Executive Director of AJC said he will try to draw the attention of the US government to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and raise the question on complete waiver of section 907 of the Freedom Support Act. He added the dispute must be inthe focus of attention.
Harris also praised Azerbaijan`s contribution to global energy security andanti-terror war.
“Unfortunately, few people know Azerbaijan’s being an area of tolerance, and theworld needs this model very much†he said.
