Commander of Iraqi Land Forces arrives in Kut, meets with Governor, PC, law makers
Kut (NINA) – Commander of Iraqi Land Forces, General Ali Ghaidan, arrived on Wednesday, Feb. 16, in Kut and immediately met with the Governor of Wasit, Chairman of its Provincial Council and members of Parliament from the province.
NINA reporter said:" military patrols are deployed in the city that is living under curfew, because of the demonstrations.
Demonstrators burst into the Governorate building putting parts of it on fire demanding that the Governor be replaced by another one for the city.
