Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 16 / Trend A.Gasimova / Ex-Representative of Greece at the Council of Europe (CoE) Konstantin Yerokostopulos has been appointed the CoE Special Representative in Azerbaijan, the CoE told Trend.
Yerokostopulos began his diplomatic activities at the Greek Foreign Ministry. He worked in the diplomatic missions of various countries.
In 1994, he led the EU observer mission in Yugoslavia. In 1995-1998, Yerokostopulos served as the Greek Ambassador to Croatia and in 2000-2004 - to Italy.
Yerokostopulos served as Permanent Representative of Greece to the Council of Europe in 2004-2008 and Special Representative of the CoE Secretary General in Serbia in 2008. He proved himself an experienced diplomat.
