Vietnam seeks development of military ties with Russia
HANOI, February 16 (Itar-Tass) - Vietnam seeks to strength and further intensify military-technical ties with Russia, Deputy National Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General Truong Quang Khanh, said, as he received the deputy director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, who heads the Russian part of the intergovernmental commission for military-technical cooperation.
According to Khanh "significant results have been reached" in
military-technical cooperation recently. He reiterated the wish of Vietnam's people and armed forces to strengthen and intensify military-technical cooperation with Russia. "It contributes to the development of the entire structure of traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Russia," he said.
Dzirkaln said his current visit to Vietnam would give both countries an opportunity to further step up military-technical cooperation in the near future within the framework of the existing agreements.
