'U.S. officials not psychologically balanced'

TEHRAN, Feb.16(MNA) -- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast countered remarks by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in support of anti-government protesters in Tehran, saying developments in the region have put Washington officials in confusion.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran understands their psychological condition,” Mehmanparast said. “A heavy blow has been dealt to U.S. officials.”

Clinton on Monday announced in a statement that she admired the “courage” and “aspirations” of the protesters who took to the streets in Tehran.
