Fire in bailiffs dept buidling in NE Moscow put out

MOSCOW, February 16 (Itar-Tass) -The fire that was raging in the attic
of the buiding of the Federal Bailiffs Service Department for the
North-Eastern Administrative Area of the capital has been put out. No one
was hurt, a source at the firefighting hedquarters has told Itar-Tass.
"Teams of firemen are still at work at the scene of the fire, sorting
out and pouring water on the collapsed structural elements. As a result of
the fire, the attic, which was fully engulfed by the fire, partially
collapsed," the source said. Inquiry officers of the State Fire Safety
Inspectorate have begun to ascertain the causes of the fire. Several
avenues of inquiry are being pusrsued, including a short-circuit.
Earlier a source in the city's law enforcement agencies said, "At the
moment when the fire broke out there were no people inside the building,
except for the guards, who were later evacuated".
The fire had broken out in the bailiffs department buiding on 2nd
Botanical Lane on Tuesday night.
Inquiry officers are yet to find out which documents have been damaged
by the fire. The building houses bailiff sections for Babushkino,
Altufyevo, and Ostankino Districts, the source in law enforcement agencies
specified.
