Thailand borrows US$300m from ADB for infrastructure development

BANGKOK, Feb 14 (TNA) - Thailand has secured a 300-million-US dollar lending from the Manila-based Asian Development Bank (ADB) to support the country's infrastructure development projects.

Thai Deputy Finance Minister Pradit Phataraprasit signed an agreement in Bangkok on Monday (Feb 14) with Kunio Senga, Director of ADB's Southeast Asia Department--under which the Thai government borrows the 300 million-US dollar fund from the regional creditor over the next 15 years with three-year grace period. The loan is subject to a floating interest rate and an annual 0.15-per cent fee. (TNA)
