Talabani returns to Baghdad coming from Damascus
Baghdad (NINA) – President Jalal Talabani and the delegation accompanying him returned on Tuesday evening, Feb. 15, to Baghdad ending a four-day official visit to Syria.
He was seen off at Damascus International Airport by Syria's President, Bashar al-Assad, and a number of Syria's top officials.
The talks conducted by Talabani covered the relations between Iraaq and Syria and means to up grade them toward reaching strategic alliance, as well as the status of Iraqis residing in Syria and the possibilities to offer them support to ease the hardship they are experiencing./
