GENERAL PLAN FOR DEVELOPING ULAANBAATAR CITY DISCUSSED
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Ulaanbaatar city authorities have discussed the general plan for developing Ulaanbaatar city until 2020”.
At the discussion, guidelines were determined to ensure ecological balance and socio-economic development of Ulaanbaatar city until 2030 and decided to include them in the general plan.
Related discussions will be run on the course of developing the general plan in February, June and September. In accordance with the City Mayor's ordinance, a survey has been conducted to assess advantages and disadvantages, problems and ways of their solutions in 123 khoroo /smallest urban administrative unit/ of all districts. Since 1999, the city population has increased by 362 thousand 200 people and the city's GDP has trippled against that of 2009. Therefore, deputy mayor B.Monkhbaatar underlined an importance of revising the general plan, increase the volume of investments, provide their effectiveness.
