GUL URGES IRANIAN PRESIDENT TO KEEP BORDER GUARDS ON TIGHT LEASH
Turkish President Abdullah Gul has reportedly urged his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to take measures to stop Iranian border guards from killing Turkish nationals who crossed into Iran illegally. More than 20 Turks have been shot dead over the past year by the Iranian security forces while crossing into Iran for alleged smuggling purposes. "Obviously, security forces must track people who act out of the law but there is also a humanitarian dimension to it. These people can be deterred without killing them. Warn your security authorities," Gul reportedly told Ahmadinejad during a meeting in Tehran. Lately, two Turkish teenagers were killed ten days ago by Iranian security teams.
TURKEY TO BUILD WARSHIP FOR BRITAIN
Britain seeks military cooperation with Turkey after a decision to cut its expenses back at home. Wall Street Journal has claimed that the two countries had signed a cooperation deal which included Turkey's participation in the construction of warship for Britain as well as the training of British helicopter pilots in Turkey. Turkish officers will join programs at Britain Royal War Academy.

Police raided the Istanbul headquarters of the Oda TV website and the homes of its owner, journalist and author Soner Yalcin, and three colleagues. Raids came hours after Oda TV posted a video on a police search regarding an alleged network, Ergenekon, accused of conspiring to topple the Turkish government. The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu said, "could a government which was annoyed of truths improve democracy? There will be more pressure in the coming period."
FENERBAHCE DEFEATS KAYSERISPOR
Fenerbahce defeated Kayserispor 2-0 and gained the second place in the Spor Toto Super League. Niang and Lugano scored the goals in the game. Trabzonspor is still at the first place in the league.

Constitutional Court President Hasim Kilic said that high judiciary did not do anything other than sleeping so far. Kilic said that heads of Supreme Court of Appeals and Council of State did not meet with their members to handle dossiers.
