Maliki calls for resorting to the specialized committees to solve disputed topics
Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister, Nouri Al Maliki, called for sending the disputed topics regarding the formation of the Strategic Policies Council back to the committees emerged from it.
A statement issued by Maliki’s office Monday, Feb. 14, that “the Premier received Sunday night, Feb. 13, Dr. Iyad Allawi, Head of Al Iraqiya Slate, and reviewed the political accordance and the resulted agreements.”
It added that “Maliki stressed the importance of implementing the agreements and abiding by them, pointing out that the greatest part of these agreements was carried out through the formation of the national unity government, electing presidencies, filling different posts, and making decisions.”
Earlier, Allawi discussed with Masoud Barzani, the Kurdistan Region President, and the necessity of wrapping up the Strategic Policies Council issue.
