Source denies untrue speech attributed to SP on Egypt's revolution
SANA'A,
Feb.13(Saba)- A parliamentary source denied on Sunday what reported by some local
media on untrue
speech attributed to Speaker of Parliament Yahya al-Rae'i on the youth revolution in
Egypt.
The source indicated that those media have misrepresented and distorted the facts
and tried to abuse to the positions of al-Rae'i and the parliament in general.
The Parliament Speaker has begun his words paying tribute to the Egyptian youth
revolution and its principles and goals and wished further progress and prosperity
to youth
and people of Egypt, the source pointed out.
The source noted that al-Rae'i referred in his speech that any acts of violence,
sabotage, chaos and looting do not give the honor to the Egyptian people or any
other people.
Al-Rae'i highly appreciated the role of the Supreme Council of the Egyptian armed
forces in the performance of its tasks in view of what has been mandated to it to
steer
the country's affairs, the source added.
The source pointed out that the position of the Parliament's Speaker is in line
with the position of Parliament and the official position of Yemen, which has
always emphasized
the depth of historical and distinct relations between Yemen and Egypt.
In this regard, the source pointed to the importance of the media role in the
spreading the legal awareness among the society so as to unify the nation.
He called at the same time the media, which dealt wrongly with the statements of
al-Rae'i, to be accurate and objective in its work and to pass on information
realistically
in accord with the Press and Publication Law and other laws in force.
News picked up by some local media on Saturday that Speaker of Parliament Yahya
al-Rae'i had attacked the revolution of youth in Egypt, describing it as
dishonorable for
Egypt and Egyptians.
