Iran's Majlis speaker congratulates Egyptians over victory
Tehran, Feb 12, IRNA – Iran's Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani congratulated the Egyptian nation here on Saturday for the victory over the 30-year rule of Hosni Mubarak, saying that the era of dictatorship is over.
In his mesage issued on the occasion, he said the wave of vigilance of the Egyptian Muslims indicated that the era of ignoring religion and disregarding the nations' demands is over.
He further added the Egyptian people's protests aimed at 'real democracy.'
Larijani then referred to the same events in Tunisia as in Egypt and called it as a 'warning' to the world dictators.
Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak stepped down from the presidency on February 11, after 19 days of protests in Cairo and other Egyptian cities./end
