Man slashed with machete in Sydney attack
AAP - A man has been set upon by more than 20 people and slashed in the back with a machete in southwest Sydney.
The fight broke out about 2.20am (AEDT) on Saturday when the 20-year-old victim and a friend pulled up at his home at Ingleburn.
Police say the pair were approached by more than 20 people who started throwing objects at them.
One of the attackers had a machete and he allegedly slashed the victim across the back and forearm.
He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Police were called, and two men and a teenager were detained.
A 47-year-old man was charged with affray and armed with intent, and held in custody to appear before Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
An 18-year-old man was charged with affray and granted bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on March 9.
A 16-year-old boy was charged with armed with intent, affray and malicious damage.
He was granted bail and will appear before Campbelltown Children's Court on March 7.
