Iran's Nat'l Day commemorated in Baku

Baku, Feb 12, IRNA – Iran's National Day was commemorated in Baku on Friday evening in the presence of Azerbaijan Republic senior officials and foreign ambassadors and representatives in the venue of Iran's embassy here.
Iran's Ambassador to Baku Mohammad Baqer Bahrami, in his speech, said that Iran's Islamic Revolution message for the world people is peace, friendship and fight against colonialism.
Referring to Iran's achievements in different fields of science and technology, Bahrami said that Iran is ready to exchange its experiences in these fields with friendly and Muslim countries of the Middle East and the region.
He called Iran and Azerbaijan Republic relations strategic and added that, with intention of both presidents, a new chapter of ties has been opened between the two countries.
Azerbaijan Republic Minister of Culture and Tourism Abolfazl Qarayev, who attended the ceremony on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev and cabinet ministers, felicitated 32nd anniversary of victory of Islamic Revolution in Iran and added that in recent years bilateral relations have been expanding rapidly.
Referring to mutual meetings between presidents and senior officials of both countries, the minister evaluated bilateral ties in different political, economic and cultural fields 'very good'.
Head of Caucasus Muslim Office Sheikh-ol-Islam Allah Shakour Pashazadeh, a number of Azerbaijan parliament members, civil and military officials, ambassadors and members of foreign representatives in Baku as well as a number of Azeri artists and writers participated in the ceremony./end
