ABOUT PRELIMINARY RESULT OF STATE CENSUS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ According to a preliminary result of the censuses of population and apartment by November 19, 2010, two million 650 thousand and 673 people from 714 thousand 784 families have been involved in the census. But the preliminary result did not include number of people counted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and through internet, servicemen counted by the Defense Ministry, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Justice, defendants, prisoners, suspects.
On February 10, the state commission of census met for discussing process of the work. Final results of the census and information about number of families and apartments, on the people's ages and gender must be completed within July of 2011. Thus, the Premier and head of the state commission S.Batbold has obliged the commission's members to finish it on time.
In frames of the works of processing information, the National Statistical Office (NSO) has finished a task of transferring the news of provinces' censuses to the online network. The NSO is receiving the materials of the censuses of the city.
This year's state censuses of population and apartment are the very first measure to count Mongolians abroad using the Interned.
