RF, Japan to have next round of strategic talks in Tokyo March 2011
MOSCOW (Itar-Tass) - Russia and Japan will have the next
round of strategic negotiations at the level of first deputy foreign
ministers in Tokyo in March 2011, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov
said after the negotiations with his Japanese counterpart Seiji Maehara
here on Friday.
"We are cooperating with Japan in the training of anti-terrorist,
anti-drug forces for Afghanistan and in the problem to make the Korean
Peninsula nuclear free. We are interested in closer cooperation with Japan
to build up security in the Asia-Pacific region," Lavrov underlined.
