Police kill gunman in US bank, hostages unharmed.

NEW YORK (Itar-Tass) - Police shot and killed a gunman
who took seven hostages in Wachovia bank in Cary, North Carolina on
Thursday.
Television footage broadcast live during the dinner hour showed the
man crumple to the ground after five officers fired on him while he led a
hostage through the parking lot with a gun to her head.
"This is not how we wanted this to end," the Associated Press quoted
Cary Police Chief Pat Bazemore as saying.
None of the seven hostages nor dozens of officers who surrounded the bank were injured, Bazemore said.
