Egypt protesters outraged by Mubarak's address.

CAIRO (Itar-Tass) -- Dozens of thousands of protesters in
Tahrir Square in Cairo were outraged by President Hosni Mubarak's address
in which he said he was transferring power to his deputy Omar Suleiman,
but remaining in office until the next presidential election in September.
The crowd exploded after the address and began to throw boots in the
air, the sign of exceptional contempt in the Arab world.
"Leave! Leave!" chanted hundreds of thousands in Tahrir Square who
waited for hours for the televised address and anticipated Mubarak would
announce he is stepping down.
Opposition leader Mohamed ElBaradei said: "Egypt will explode. Army
must save the country now."
The banned Muslim Brotherhood also denounced the address saying it
"causes dissatisfaction and regret" that people's will is ignored and
promising protests would continue on Friday.
In a 20-minute address Mubarak said he would "delegate to the vice
president of the republic the prerogatives of the president of the
republic in a manner that is fixed by the constitution."
"I have felt all the pain you felt," Mubarak said, "Your demands are
legitimate and just ... I have announced my commitment to peacefully hand
over power after upcoming elections ... I will deliver Egypt and its
people to safety," he said.
Suleiman appeared on state television to say there was a "road map"
for transition and said he would oversee a "peaceful transition of power".
