Turkish President Gul receives Iraqi Parliament Speaker Nuceyfi
ANKARA, Feb. 10 (A.A) - Turkish President Abdullah Gul received Iraqi Parliament Speaker Osama Nuceyfi in Ankara on Thursday.
The meeting at Cankaya Presidential Palace was closed to press.
Earlier Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin had a meeting with Nuceyfi.
Sahin said that the Turkish parliament was ready to extend support to the Iraqi parliament.
Turkey attached a great interest in security, tranquility and prosperity of Iraqi people, he said.
Iraqi Parliament Speaker Nuceyfi said that Iraqi people had full confidence in Turkish-Iraqi friendship and Turkey assumed a balanced, sincere and clear policy towards Iraq. Turkey always highlighted that it attached a great importance to territorial integrity of Iraq, Nuceyfi said.
