Yemen Foreign Minister Al-Qirbi held talks on with Italy's Foreign Minister Frattini

(Saba) - Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi held talks on Thursday in Rome with the Italy's Foreign Minister Franco Frattini
on the preparations for the Yemen's Friends Group meeting to be held in Riyadh next March.
The Italian Minister confirmed his country's readiness to consider the project drafts to be submitted by the Yemeni government according in accordance with priorities of
the development plan.
Speaking on the second phase of the radar system of the Yemen coastguard, the two sides agreed on to be studied by the Italian coastguard and then put the related documents
to tender.
The two sides also agreed on setting a date to sign an agreement of cooperation in the field of scientific and cultural, under which the Italian government will provide
high study scholarships in various scientific majors that Yemen needs as well as in progressing cooperation between the diplomatic institutes in the both countries' Foreign
Ministries.
The talks also touched on lifting the ban on air cargo flights and the restrictions on Yemenia flights coming from Yemen to Italy.
