Passengers dropped after emergency landing offered reserve plane
NOVOSIBIRSK, February 9 (Itar-Tass) - Passengers of a Boeing-757
plane, which made an emergency landing in Novosibirsk, left for Bangkok on board a reserve plane which took off from Tolmachyovo airport in Novosibirsk at 1.28 pm local time Wednesday. None of the passengers refused to go on board the reserve plane, said spokeswoman for Tolmachyovo airport Svetlana Smirnova.
Earlier, a Boeing-757 belonging to Severny Veter airline company had made an emergency landing in Novosibirsk on the way from Kemerovo to Bangkok because the plane's undercarriage got jammed and remained open after the flight took off from Kemerovo.
The plane landed safely. None of 220 passengers and nine crewmen on board was hurt. All the emergency services of Tolmachyovo airport
demonstrated prompt conduct and good coordination when the emergency
flight was landing.
The Kemerovo and Novosibirsk prosecutors are investigating whether the Boeing 757 crew and the other personnel responsible complied with the instructions on ensuring flight safety and aviation security.
