Al-Qirbi says US warnings for non-essential staff to leave Yemen were

that the US decision to return its non-essential employees to its embassy in Yemen confirms that all warnings released earlier by theUS Secretary of State were groundless.

The mouthpiece of Defense ministry September 26 quoted al-Qirbi as saying the Yemeni government has proved that it is able to deal with all security cases in the country and that its security forces can chase any terrorist who may threat its stability andrelationships with other countries.

Al-Qirbi said the security operations against terrorist cells in Yemen were carried out accurately, pointing to the recent one during which the security forces raided a dangerous terrorist group in theHadramout city of Tarim.

During this operation five of the seven members of the cell werekilled and two arrested.

The group is believed to be behind most of the recent attacks onforeign and government interests in the country.

A source at the Yemen embassy in Washington said the US has decided to return its non-essential employees to its embassy in Yemen in thenear future.

In March, the US secretary of state ordered US non-essential employees at the US embassy in Yemen to leave the country after theembassy was attacked by al-Qaeda.

Three mortars landed on the embassy compound in Sana'a butcausalities were reported .
