Fifth road tunnel to be put together in Sochi Wed.
SOCHI (Itar-Tass) - A ceremony marking the putting
together of a road tunnel is to be held here on Wednesday.
This is a fifth tunnel out of nine ones intended for the building Adler - Krasnaya Polyana combined automobile road and a railway.
The railway tunnel 2,910 metres long with a diameter of 10.6
metres has been laid in direct proximity to a mountain township by
means of the tunnelling system Herrenknecht-10690, an order for which was placed by the contracting organization in Germany expressly for operation on an Olympic route, an official in the contractor company SK MOST has told Itar-Tass.
