Parliament summons Interior Minister to clarify on shooting incident

SANA'A,
Feb.08(Saba)- Parliament decided on Tuesday to summon Interior Minister for
clarification against
the backdrop of fire exchange accident took place early this week in the capital
Sana'a.
The exchange of fire, which occurred early this week between guards of Sheikh Hamid
al-Ahmar, a leading figure in the opposition, and guards of the Sana'a Governor
Nu'aman
Dowaid, one of Khawlan tribe's sheikhs, led to the killing of a citizen and wounding
others as well as distribution of the public tranquility and intimidation of
citizens.
On another hand, the parliament reviewed the explanatory memorandum of the draft
law amending the Law No. 15 for 2000 on the police body and the explanatory
memorandum of
the draft law regulating the protection and private security guards.
The parliament decided to refer the two drat laws to a specialized committee to
study them and submit its report on them.
