Inmates of Hilla grand prison start food strike
Hilla (NINA) - Tens of inmates of Hilla grand prison start Tuesday, Feb. 8, food strike demanding the improvement of their living standards and reduce the crowd inside the prison.
A source inside the prison, who declined to give his name, told NINA that the capacity of the prison is 750 prisoners while the number of the prisoners reached more than 1500 prisoners who suffer from bad services and lack of electricity, drinking water, and air conditioning.
The inmates threatened that the strike will continue until their demands are met, the source concluded.
