Iran Foreign Minister spokesman said Iran is ready to cooperate with regional states in the field of peaceful nuclear activities

Tehran (IRNA) – Iran is ready to cooperate with regional states in the field of peaceful nuclear activities, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said Tuesday.
He made the remarks during his weekly press briefing while he was commenting on a report that said certain Arab countries of the region were keen to take part in Iran’s next round of talks with the member states of the Group 5+1.
Reiterating Iran’s stance over the peaceful nature of its nuclear program and the fact that there was nothing left to be discussed about Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program, Mehmanparast said Iran would only talk to the G5+1 member states about “general issues related to the nuclear activities in the entire world.”
“To this end, three major topics can be put on the agenda,” Mehmanparast said referring to those topics as the issue of the “nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation as well as the issue of confronting the Zionist regime’s open violation of the non-proliferation of the nuclear weapons” which according to the spokesman “is the most important example of violating non-proliferation of the nuclear weapons.”
“The equal right of all nations to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes,” was the third major topic mentioned by Mehmanparast for being discussed during Iran’s future talks with the Western states.
