Beirut (IRNA) – Hezbollah Sec. Gen. Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah said here Monday that Egyptian peoples’ revolution would highly affect regional and world equations, as a top major international news.
Nasrallah was addressing a gathering of Lebanese national and political groups in support of the Egyptian popular uprising Monday night.
Nasrallah said, “Tonight we have gathered here with a clear objective: supporting the Egyptian people and youth and declaring solidarity with them, just as we supported the people of Tunisia in near past.”
Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah added, “Before dealing with the matters in question I beg pardon of the Tunisian and the Egyptian nations, because we are declaring our support with a few days delay, while we Lebanese parties have a long record in opposing the US plans for the region, and opposing the Zionist regime in the region and therefore, we cannot remain silent in this struggle between the righteousness and the falsehood.”
REASON FOR DEAL IN SUPPORT FOR EGYPTIAN REVOLUTION
The Hezbollah Sec Gen pointed out fearing lest the Egyptian nation would have been accused that someone abroad supports them from the very beginning, this support had been delayed, emphasizing,
“You Egyptian people could have been accused of having the support of the groups that are connected with Hamas, Hezbollah, or Iran then.”
He added, “We have a painful experience with the Egyptian regime, since when one of our brothers who was cooperating with a number of Egyptians and Palestinians to assist the Gaza residents, he was arrested and accused of making efforts to topple the Egyptian system and turn it into a Shi’a regime.”
EGYPT’S REVOLUTION IS REAL AND NATIONAL
Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah pointed out that we are witnesses to a national and real revolution in Egypt, in which the Muslims, the Christians, the Islamic movements, the laics, the nationalists, the tribalists and various thought spectrum, age groups from children to elderly folks, scholars, farmers, etc.
He said, “We consulted out Egyptian brethren from the very first day and when they are at the scenes of the protests, we were told to hesitate a while, but today everything is settled.”
Denouncing the western media propagation and the Egyptian regime’s efforts aimed at accusing the Egyptian revolution of affiliation, he said, “We announce our solidarity with the Egyptian people today.”
Nasrallah pointed out that we are faced with a full scale revolution whose point of strength is the presence of youth in it, adding, “This revolution is the result of the national will of the Egyptians that have dedicated martyrs and wounded people in this way and spend the nights in that square with no shelter, or even something to cover their heads, but they are determined to gain what they want.”
The Secretary General of Hezbollah reiterated, “This nation is planning for its future in its entire words and deeds, and the entire accusations brought up against them abroad are too weak in confrontation with the great will of the Egyptian nation and youth that are the essence of this revolution.”
RUMOR OF AMERICAN NATURE OF EGYPTIAN REVOLUTION MADE BY CIA
Nasrallah said, “We have heard lots of analyses, including those of the US and the Zionist regime’s friends, which are trying to convince he world that the happening in Egypt are demand for brad and food, but the reality is that we are faced with a great revolution in various squares, and this it the revolution of the poor, the free, the freedom seekers, and the prestigious.’
He said that the revolution is aimed at ridding the nation of the wretchedness in confrontation with the US demands in Egypt, arguing, “One of the duties in voicing solidarity with the Egyptian people is clearing their revolution of the entire accusations that are brought up against them, the worst of which that we heard is that this revolution is made in USA that has urged the youth to step forth to the scene.”
He reiterated, “On day of solidarity with the Egyptian nation I must say this is great injustice against the youth of Tunisia and Egypt that any Arab, Muslim, or noble individual would think this way that is an insult and a great injustice against the awareness, the thoughts, the culture and the will of this nation.”
Secretary General of Hezbollah emphasized, “Who would accept it form us to say that the US is pushing aside a regime that has always been fully at the service of its interests and its plans?”
Nasrallah said, “Both the US Democrats and the US Republicans are greateful of the Egyptian regime for the services it has offered them; can anyone accept that the Americans are trying to topple their own servant?”
He added, “Back in 1979 we heard that the CIA was supporting the Iranian revolution, but the truth of the matter was revealed in the days, the year and the decades after its victory, and that Imam Khomeini (P) was loyal to his nation’s ideals and that is the situation in Tunisia and in Egypt and their youth.”
US AND ISRAELI ALLIES LACK POPULAR SUPPORT
The Lebanese resistance official said that the surveys have proved that the US and Israeli allies have no popular support or respect in the world, which is what has worried the United States.
Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah reiterated, “The Americans try to penetrate in this revolution, ride the wave, and improve their ugly image in the world by pretending to support the nations’ rights, while it has been decades that they have been supporting the world dictators in the world.”
He referred to the opinion polls run by US universities in Arab world that show the majority of them are opposed to the US policies in the region, pointing out, “All the same, this does not mean we are also opposed to the American nation, the majority of whom are disparate and unaware of the global developments.”
Nasrallah said that campaign against the US policies in the world is due to Washington’s full support for Tel Aviv and the other despotic powers and organizations throughout the world, adding, “Allied organizations and personalities with the US and Israel, too, are never respected among their own people, but this does not mean that the United States tries to topple the regimes that are at its service.”
HEZBOLLAH’S ENTIRE POSSIBILITES AT EGYPTIANS’ DISPOSAL
Pointing out that it is the Egyptian nation that should take the final decision and we do not interfere in their internal affairs, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah said, “We put our entire possibilities at the disposal of the Egyptian nation and their youth and we hope God would strengthen their will, and bless the entire oppressed in the world.”
The Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah said, “Look at the dizziness of the Zionist regime in the course of the past 14 days regarding the movement of the Egyptian people ; I do not wish to describe the regime with which the people are entangled today, bit I wish to draw your attention to the Zionists’ evaluation of the ruling regime in Egypt and the strategic services it has been offering Tel Aviv as of the signing of the Camp David Treaty.”
He added, “Due to losing such a strategic ally in the region, the Zionist regime is seriously worried, which is why it is not only supporting Mubarks’ regime shamelessly, but also arrogantly announcing that our entire allies in the region are the despotic regimes, blaming the Americans for the matter!”
IF ONLY I COULD SACRIFICE MY BLOOD LIKE AN EGYPTIAN YOUTH
Pointing out that we consider your martyrs as our martyrs and your resistance in the squares is the resistance of the Lebanese and the Palestinians at entire battle fronts, adding, “We are sure you have a great power that is capable of ushering change and we are longing for seeing the day when you would restore the historic power of Egypt once again.”
Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah added, “Only God Knows how dearly I wish I, too, could dedicate my blood and my life, like and Egyptian youth, in the way of materializing this noble objective. Your victory would change the face of the region, since you have entered the scene of the Arabic prestige; a matter that has been insulted by some rules during the past decades.”/end
