Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi said on Monday that unlike the US, Iran’s stance regarding the country is obvious and stable.

Beirut (IRNA) – Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi said on Monday that unlike the US, Iran’s stance regarding the country is obvious and stable.

Addressing a ceremony marking the victory anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Beirut, he also added that the US takes advantage of Lebanon ties in line with its interests and easily abandons its allies.

Commenting on the current developments in the country, he also said, “We supported Arab countries’ efforts to solve Lebanon crisis.”

Turning to ties with the March 14 Alliance, especially with Kataeb Party, Roknabadi also said that “Our stance regarding Lebanon is clear. We are standing beside the country,” he noted.

“Iran’s support for the Lebanese Resistance Movement is aimed at warding off the Israeli threats against Lebanon and regional countries,” he said.

On the establishment of new government in Lebanon, he also said that this is an internal issue and the demands of the Lebanese groups are natural.
