.30 N Koreans on fishing trawler transgress border in Yellow Sea.
SEOUL, February 7 (Itar-Tass) -- A major group of North Korean crewmen
onboard a small fishing schooner transgressed the inter-Korean maritime
border in the Yellow Sea and reached the South Korean island of
Yeonpyeong, a South Korean unnamed governmental source said here on
Monday. All these North Korean citizens are believed to be defectors, he
noted.
South Korean border guards have found 11 men and 20 women onboard the
fishing vessel. All of them were towed to the Inchon port onboard the same
trawler. "South Korean servicemen and counterintelligence officers are
interrogating them, how they succeeded to cross the maritime border," the
source pointed out. All of them are relatives and work together, he said.
Since the end of the Korean War over 20,000 North Korean citizens managed
to flee to South Korea directly or through third countries, the Yonhap
news agency reported.
The current escape was made in a sharply deteriorated situation on the
Korean Peninsula. In November 2010 the North Korean coastal artillery
shelled the Yeonpyeong Island killing two South Korean marines and two
civilians.

VLADIVOSTOK, February 7 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian border guards detained
the Cambodia-flagged fishing vessel FOG in the Tatar Strait in the north
of the Sea of Japan (the East Sea).
More than 7,500 tonnes of poached Kamchatka crabs were found onboard
the poaching vessel, as the captain did not have a fishing license, the
public relations group of the Sakhalin border department of the Russian
Coast Guard reported on Monday.
The FOG trawler was detained on February 3, on the same day poached
crabs were released back in the sea. The trawler crewmen are Russian
citizens. An administrative case was instituted against the captain for
poaching of the water biological resources.

VILNIUS, February 7 (Itar-Tass) -- OSCE Chairman-in-Office and
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Azubalis will go on a tour of
Ukraine and Moldova on Monday to discuss the prospects of the activities
of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the
ways to settle the protracted conflicts in the OSCE control zone, the
press service of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry reported.
High on the agenda of the negotiations in Kiev will be the
preparations for Ukraine's OSCE presidency in 2013 and the OSCE activities
in Ukraine. Azubalis will meet with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich,
Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov, Foreign Minister Konstantin Grishchenko,
