Victory of Islamic Revolution, a turning point for oppressed people

New Delhi, Feb 5, IRNA – The victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, led by the late Imam Khomeini, was a turning point for all the oppressed people in general and Muslims in particular, across the globe, said an Indian Shia scholar Saturday in New Delhi.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Maulana Syed Jalal Haider Naqvi, President of the Shaheed Mottahari Society in New Delhi, said: 'Muslims all over the world are now facing new threats and challenges. It is necessary to use his (Imam's) intellect, which led to the victory of the Islamic Revolution, to determine the appropriate response to the threat'.
He said the enemies of Islam, led by the Zionist regime and US do not want the real Islam to be seen. To defeat this, we should follow Imam Khomeini's lofty ideas through which he denounced the global powers, the Indian scholar added.
Expressing solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Revolution, Jalal condemned the approach of the global powers towards Muslims, in particular the Iranian nation.
He further praised Iran's political and economic independency resulted from the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Referring to the Egypt crisis, Jalal said: “Egyptians are inspired by the victory of the Islamic Revolution. Hosni Mubarak, the embattled president and the agent of US, has no option other than to step down. Egyptians will be victorious. And this will be another defeat for the US and the Zionist regime.'
