Safavi: US bent on dividing Egyptian nation
Tehran, Feb 4, IRNA -- Supreme Leader's Advisor for Military Affairs Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said here on Friday that the US uses lack of a single leadership in Egypt to divide the Egyptian struggling nation.
Addressing a ceremony, Safavi said Egyptian people’s revolutionary move has some aspects of commonalty and difference compared with Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution.
He said the similarity between the two is that both are campaigns against dictators and US puppet regimes.
On the difference between the two movements, he referred to Iran’s revolution led by the late Imam Khomeini while the Egyptians lack leadership.
