Turkish automotive market continues to grow
ISTANBUL (A.A)-Turkish automotive market is continuing to grow.
Sales in automobile and light commercial vehicles market were posted as 44,789 in January, 2011. The figure increased 122.89 percent when compared with January, 2010.
Automotive Distributors Association's general coordinator Hayri Erce said on Friday that the sales in January, 2010 was 20,095.
Total market figure in January, 2011 even exceeded the highest figure recorded in January, 1994 which was 39,629.
Automobile sale increased 137.16 percent to 29,686 in January, 2011 when compared to January, 2010.
Light commercial vehicles sales also rose 98.92 percent to 14,921 in January, 2011 when compared to January, 2010.
