Baby, four children hurt in NSW car crash

A one-week-old baby girl and four children have been taken to hospital after their mum crashed the family car in NSW's central west.
The family was driving north on Corradgery Bogan Gat Road at Bedgerebong, west of Forbes, at about 9.30pm (AEDT) when the 29-year-old mother lost control of her Toyota, police said on Sunday.
The car swerved off the road and ended up tipped onto its passenger side.
The four older siblings - all aged under nine - managed to get out of the vehicle and rescued their baby sister.
But the mother was trapped and had to be rescued. She was taken to Forbes Hospital.
A three-year-old boy and the baby girl were flown to Westmead Hospital in Sydney.
The other children went to Forbes and Orange Base hospitals.
None was said to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
A police spokeswoman said investigations into the crash were continuing and the mother would undergo mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
