Iranian Majlis to decide on confidence vote to Salehi
Tehran, Jan 29, IRNA – Majlis will hold a session on January 30 to decide whether to give confidence vote to Ali-Akbar Salehi, proposed by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as the next foreign minister.
Majlis will give vote to Salehi after examining his record.
On January 11, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast had said that appointment of Salehi as foreign minister is close to certain.
In mid-December, Ahmadinejad removed former Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and appointed Salehi, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) director, as the acting foreign minister.
