Larijani: West tries to create disunity among Muslims

Abu Dhabi, Jan 19, IRNA – Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Ali Larijani said that the West is trying to create disunity among Islamic countries.

Upon his arrival in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, Larijani in a meeting with UAE Parliament First Deputy Ahmed Shabib al-Dhahiri, by underlining necessity of unity among Islamic countries, said that the west likes to create disunity among Islamic countries, but a united Islamic umma is a valuable thing and paying any cost for it would be worthy.

The UAE member of parliament, by welcoming Larijani to the country, reminded Iran's effectiveness on Islamic world and told Larijani, 'Your action are based on human values.'

He expressed hope that holding extraordinary meeting of Islamic inter-parliamentary session would be successful.

Al-Dhahiri reminded that achievements of the meeting should be at disposal of the Islamic world Umma and results of such meetings should include human beings.

Referring to the latest events in Lebanon, the UAE parliament member expressed hope that the Lebanese can form a new government successfully which gives satisfaction to all Lebanese./end
