More than 100,000 flood claims processed

More than 100,000 claims for financial assistance following the Queensland floods
have already been granted, the federal government says.
Attorney-General Robert McClelland was in Ipswich on Tuesday, meeting locals
affected by the floods and paying tribute to emergency services personnel and
volunteers.
He said nearly 110,000 claims for the government's disaster assistance payment -
worth more than $136 million - had been granted to devastated flood victims so far.
