MINISTER OF JUSTICE VISITING AUSTRIA
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Paying a visit to the Republic of Austria, the Minister of Justice and Domestic Affairs Ts.Nyamdorj has met with Mr. Yury Fedotov, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna and the Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
Ts.Nyamdorj has raised issues of enriching the ties and collaboration between Mongolia and the UNODC with new content, also the matters that were considered during Mongolian Premier's visit such as receiving experts' group for having them studied a situation in organized crimes, corruption, human trafficking and illegal drug trade, and enhancing of the Mongolia-UNODC cooperation by determining further directions and projects.
In response, Mr. Fedotov has promised to send experts to Mongolia and thanked Mongolia's government for attaching a great importance to developing a cooperation with the UNODC. The meeting ended with signing a joint statement on measures to be taken for developing the cooperation.
Then Nyamdorj has met his Austrian counterpart Mrs. Claudia Bandion-Ortner to share views on seeking opportunities to intensify the Mongolia-Austria cooperation in justice, boosting the cooperation within a goal to introduce the EU standards to Mongolia.
Mrs. Claudia has said her country managed to create the best in EU juridical E-network and expressed a readiness to share this experience with Mongolia.
