"MONGOLIAN ORNAMENT" CAMPAIGN IS RUNNING
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A “Mongolian ornament” monthly campaign has been launched January 3 to continue up to February 1 by administration of the city's Bayangol district.
Main aims of the action are to publicize Mongolia's culture, traditions, national cloths dedicated to the Lunar new year--the Tsagaan sar, which begins early February. Located on the territory of the district organizations, entities, services, secondary schools, kindergartens, universities and colleges are taking part in it.
Various works are being run, for example, a fair of the Mongolian national clothes, appliances and cultural heritage, selection of adult pairs and children who are best dressed in the national beautiful clothes in each organization-participant. The nominated ones are to receive awards and cash prizes from the district's governor.
