Presence of world states envoys in Iran, sign of Tehran’s goodwill

Tehran, Jan 17, IRNA – Presence of envoys of 120 world’s states in Iran to inspect the country’s nuclear facilities is a sign of Tehran’s goodwill and transparency, Iran’s representative to the UN nuclear watchdog said Sunday evening.

Iran’s Permanent Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency Ali Asghar Soltanieh said that five foreign diplomats visited Iran’s nuclear sites in Arak (in Markazi province) and Natanz (in Isfahan province) on behalf of 120 world states.

The visit has taken place in line with Iran’s policy to build transparency about Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities, Soltanieh said during a press conference.

Ambassadors of five countries to the IAEA arrived in Iran Saturday to explore Iran’s nuclear facilities on behalf of the IAEA’s members that were also members of the Non-Aligned Movement and on behalf of the Group 77’s members.

After inspecting Arak and Natanz nuclear facilities, the diplomats said that they were “very impressed” and have become convinced that all reports by Western media about Iran’s deviation from peaceful nuclear activities were mere lies.

Certain Western media were persistently accusing Iran of pursuing a non-civilian nuclear program./end
