Russian tourists return from Tunisia to Moscow

MOSCOW, January 17 (Itar-Tass) -- A Transaero airliner has brought 240
Russian tourists, including five children, to Moscow on Monday. They had
to cut short their vacations in Tunisia over a tense situation in the
country.
A Boeing-767 landed at 00.17 Moscow time on Monday at the Domodedovo
airport.
Many people came to the airport arrival gates despite the late night
in Moscow. Along with Russians coming back from Tunisia Russian tourists
from other popular sea resorts, primarily Hurghada and Antalya, returned
in Moscow. Many of them were surprised with so many TV cameramen. Some
tourists learnt about a tense situation in Tunisia from people who met
them. Russian tourists, who returned from this North African country, were
looking tired, but took a keen interest for their return with a smile.
Most of them acknowledged that they did not see any emergency situations
from their hotel rooms. "We were more concerned over our relatives in
Moscow, because the latter were watching fierce clashes on the
television," the Khokhorev spouses said upon return in Moscow.
About 100 Russian tourists are staying in Tunisia, the Russian Tourism
Agency reported. A Tunisia Air airliner will bring them to Russia
overnight to Thursday, January 20. The situation in Tunisia is
stabilizing, so, "a flight due on January 20 is to be made," the chief
press officer of the Russian Tourism Agency Oleg Moseyev said.
