GREEN PACKET & HEITECH PADU TEAM UP ON COMMUNICATION PRODUCT
PETALING JAYA (Malaysia), Aug 13 (Bernama) -- Green Packet Bhd and HeiTech Padu Bhd have teamed up to distribute a mobility communications platform for enterprises called Padu Mobile, with plans to market the product to Middle East by the fourth quarter of this year.
Green Packet's senior general manager Kelvin Lee said the companies planned to market the products in the Middle East countries where they have a presence and established foothold.
"We are excited at the prospects of this partnership. There will be plans
to bring Padu Mobile to the Middle East as both of us already have a presence
there and an established foothold in our respective competencies," he told
reporters after signing the partnership agreement here Wednesday.
HeiTech was represented by its senior vice president and chief financial
officer Abdul Halim Md Lassim.
Under the partnership, HeiTech has been appointed by Green Packet to become
exclusive distributor for Padu Mobile.
Powered by Green Packet, the Padu Mobile offers complete comprehensive
solution comprising of seamless mobility, secured connectivity and unified
communications.
It enables users to securely connect to their office's local area network
(LAN) even while on the move, connecting to various access networks such as
wireless local area network (WLAN), third-generation network (3G) or even
worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX) without having to worry
about the integrity and security of the data being transmitted or
received.
Users of Padu Mobile will also be able to communicate with others via its
voice, video, web conferencing, presence and instant messaging capabilities
through a single devide from anywhere enytime.
Lee said with with HeiTech as the distributor of Padu Mobile, sales are
expecetd to increase significantly, riding on the growing numbers of the
enterprises.
These, he said, covered from public and commercial sectors across
education, banking and finance, insurance, and healthcare markets, both domestic
and overseas markets.
The global's enterprise mobility market workforce is expected to grow to 15
percent per annum from the current 10 percent.
