Saudi Arabia keen to expand ties with Iran
Riyadh, Jan 16, IRNA – Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal in a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Riyadh Mohammad-Javad Rasouli-Mahallati here on Saturday evening voiced his country's wilingness to foster cooperation with Iran.
He further welcomed recent statement by Caretaker of Iran's Foreign Ministry Ali-Akbar Salehi who had said Tehran-Riyadh ties would benefit not only the two countries but also all regional states.
For his part, Rasouli-Mahallati said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has focused its strategy on strengthening cooperation with the neighboring states.
The two officials also reviewed the latest regional developments./end
