Diplomat: Pakistan ready to cooperate with Iran to crack down on terrorists

Zahedan, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Jan 16, IRNA – Pakistan charge d'affaires in Tehran said that Pakistan nation and government, who are hurt by terrorists, are always ready for cooperation with Iran to crack down on terrorists and bandits.
Amen Rashid, traveling to Zahedan on Saturday, told IRNA that Pakistan is a victim of terrorism, 'so we will try to secure our borders with Iran as much as possible'.
He claimed that security in Iran-Pakistan border is better than Pakistan – India borders.
Rashid stressed that there are a number of extremists, who want to damage good relations between Iran and Pakistan and are trying to make common borders insecure.
He underlined that such elements should be recognized by Iranian government and be introduced to Pakistan, so the Pakistani officials arrest and deliver them to Iran.
Concerning arrest of one of leaders of terrorist grouplet of 'Jondollah', he said that arrest of Abdulraouf and other ringleaders of the terrorist grouplet of Jondollah is not certain for Pakistani government and has only been declared through media.
He continued that if they have been arrested, the Pakistani government will certainly deliver them to Iran.
The Pakistani diplomat said that in recent visit of Iran's Interior Minister to Pakistan, the two sides discussed border and security issues and it was decided that Iran identifies extremist elements behind its borders and the Pakistani government try to arrest and deliver them to Iran.
Rashid said that fight against terrorism is an overall war and the Pakistani government is trying not to give opportunity to terrorists to cause a clash in good relations between Iran and Pakistan.
He said that establishment of flight between Zahedan-Karachi-Quetta is a promising point for a bright economic, political and cultural future between the two countries.
Rashid stressed that the flights indicated the depth of cultural, historical, political and security relations between the two countries, especially the two provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan of Iran and Baluchestan province of Pakistan./end
